Our mission is to eliminate victimization among Blacks in America and empower Blacks in America by developing Zero Victim leaders in communities with zero victims.

Our aim is to partner with other agencies to develop and implement comprehensive solutions to spiritual, moral, social, and economic challenges in Black communities.
OUR STORY
The ZVCDC is an apolitical, non-profit, Christian activist organization that exists to alleviate and prevent the victimization of those most vulnerable in Black America, in addition to Blacks in America from around the world, with empathy and compassion. We aim to create these vital opportunity zones in vulnerable neighborhoods.The values of ZVCDC are unashamedly based entirely upon Biblical, spiritual and moral laws, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, that can only be implemented with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. We aim to match good thinking with good action. We believe America needs to see a positive and redemptive, Black-led organization creating Black opportunities in Black communities, primarily focusing on Black families. Within 3-5 years, we hope to create a viable proof of concept model in Chicago, capable of being replicated in other cities.

PHASE ONE
Marriage, Parenting, and Family Division
As with any people group, we believe that the strength of all people groups is marriage and family, and that these are the backbone of any healthy community.It is our aim to reverse the trend of single mothers raising Black children, by restoring the Biblical foundations of marriage and family in Black communities as intended by God, and by equipping Black fathers and mothers. It is our aim to equip Black parents to successfully raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).
Spiritual Awakening Division
It is our aim to see all people come to faith in Christ, to facilitate ongoing spiritual awakening in our nation, to unite the Church of Jesus Christ, and to change America’s spiritual atmosphere, by calling for and facilitating an ongoing National Prayer Initiative.We must attack segregation and division in the Church and hope to see all Churches, Parishes, and Christian denominations come together in faith according to John 17:21 to be an undeniable witness for Jesus Christ in America.
Activism, Advocacy, and Awareness Division
Our faith and prayers must be authenticated to a world that desperately needs to see the Church of Jesus Christ engaged and taking the lead in action in solving the difficult and complex issues of our day. The Church must not only pray but act NOW!It is our aim to provide Zero Victim training and consulting for public and private organizations concerning diversity, and to teach them how to navigate through racial and ethnic division in a way that honors Christ, based upon the love of God.This will be facilitated through the launch of our I UNDERSTAND Initiative program.
PHASE TWO
Education Division
We aim to champion education in Black communities by offering scholarships and implementing college and career development programs. It is our desire to provide support services for underprivileged school administrators and teachers, along with providing advance tutoring and mentoring programs for at-risk children and youth in Black communities.We aim to champion S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Programs for under-resourced youth in Black communities, in addition to providing seminars, workshops, and community outreaches, programs, services, and events.
Youth and College Division
It is our desire to target and challenge emerging youth and young adult leaders through our Zero Victim Leadership Development Program.We believe it is imperative for all youth and young adults, especially those in vulnerable communities to embrace the Zero Victim mindset.
Finance and Entrepreneurship Division
While many welfare programs tend to inadvertently incentivize broken Black families, it is our aim to incentivize intact Black families, by helping them envision and achieve economic independence and build wealth.Our goal is to foster economic development and empowerment through job and skills training programs, money management programs, by teaching goal setting, and by destroying the vestiges of poverty thinking that result in poor resource management.It is our aim to partner with developers and lenders to create affordable housing and to incentivize intact Black marriages and families, by helping them achieve home ownership.
Health and Wellness Division
Much of the devastation in Black communities is associated with poor health and poor nutrition. Mental illness is a growing problem in America and is especially deadly and destructive when coupled with broken families and the effects of poverty.It is our aim to provide services for mental health, counseling, health screenings and coaching, physical fitness, and nutrition, and to reduce the high rates of heart disease and diabetes that plague Black communities.

ZVCDC is governed by its Board of Directors and is led by the visionary leadership of Pastors James and Sharon Ward and its Executive Staff.
